If everyone likes shrim there is a great recipe for "Shrimp Love" pasta on Kraft's website. Super easy and tastes great.

My family has been doing the one bag five dinners recipes and just having a new "meal" has been great even if its with the same kinds and cuts of meat we always resort to.

The easy chicken parmesan we had yesterday took about 10 minutes of prep work and tasted great with baked potatoes (microwave them until tender, cut in half and fill with garlic butter, wrap in tinfoil and bake about 20 minutes) and asparagus.

How about sheppard pie? I make one I call cheaters sheppards pie. I buy the club house mix and follow the directions. I cheat by using 2 C mixed vegetables that I cook for 5 min. as stated and I also use seasoned instant mashed potatoes. My fussy husband really likes. it.

Also,

Fry lean ground beef, onion salt & pepper. Then I make a gravy and have mashed potatoes, and veggies. My favourite with this is carrots and steamed cabbage.

Beef or chicken stew is good for this time of year.

Another - cut boneless chicken in bite size pieces. Fry until it is done.
Meanwhile boil some rotini pasta. Mix the chicken with the pasta and throw in cream of chicken soup and some parmessan cheese. ( Also frozen peas if desired) Put it into a casserole dish and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 until hot. I just guess at the amount. I cook for 2.

Sloppy joes or tacos.

I think Kraft has a good recipe for salisbury steak.

Fry a lb of burger with onion, salt, & pepper.
Cook some macaroni. Mix it all together with tomato soup.
Cover with some bacon and bake at 350. About 1 &1/2 C dry macaroni and 2 cans soup.

Kraft has a wonderful recipe on the web site called Easy Chicken Parmessan. Fussy husband likes it too.

I make salmon cakes. Large can of salmon without the skin & bones, some mashed potatoes, onion, some diced celery. Saute onion and celery a little first. Make into patties and fry. Add some veggies green beans. ????

Meatloaf is always good. Use only ground beef, without pork. If you normally would use ground pork as well, just double the amount of ground beef. Put some very thinly sliced potatoes on the bottom of the meatloaf, (if they are not really thin, they will not cook and you will have raw potatoes) and add veggies such as corn or peas to the meatloaf, and serve with a salad. Good Luck.

My husband and adult son love steak sandwiches. If we have steak for dinner I cook extra to make dinner another nite. I make garlic bread with thick slices of bread and pile thinly sliced steak on top with carmelized onions. I then put a generous amount of grated cheese on top and put under the broiler to melt the cheese and heat through. With mashed potatoes and gravy or french fries, a salad or veggie and your meal is complete. It is surprising that one steak will feed the three of us this way, Also you can use a cheaper cut if you tenderize, pound and cut across the grain.

Another favorite is fettucini--I use the recipe for Kraft's fettucini with chicken(lite) and for a change I chop and cook a half pound of bacon or ham instead of the chicken and add sauteed musrooms (or canned).

What about perogies --I sautee some onions in butter and add the thawed perogies and put in a casserole dish, cover and cook in the oven. I will cook up some sausage to go with it or sometimes add them to the casserole dish.

I need some new ideas of what to make for suppers. My husband won't eat turkey or pork and the kids pretty much eat anything, however I'm running out of ideas of what to make each and every evening. We are getting tired of the same old spaghetti and tomato sauce or the chicken stir fry or hamburger helpers...does anyone have any new fast easy ideas? If so, please help me!!!

Thanks,
Sabrina:)
